This is a documentary about forensic anthropologists (BONES?) doing research on the 200,000 Mayan peasants who died in the Guerilla War in Guatemala ...

It's nice that the Guatemala people are showing no one is above justice.

Seeing the former presidents daughter deny everything sickens me. I will be looking for a follow up of this case. It is rare and difficult for a politician to be brought to justice but Its good that he is in a court of law needing to face the crimes he committed against all those innocent Mayan people to just live as simple as they can to survive.

I agree with the comment above^ It is why I really liked the seeing this because you usually hear about politicians getting away with things and this shows that is different in Guatemala.

My mother is Guatemalan who came from European decent, and I personally know there is much racism against the native Mayan and the European descendants whom seem to be in positions of power such as politics. My family has had countless death threats from the Natives in the town in Antigua, and several of my family members have been kidnapped by these same native Mayans. To say its the "Evil government killing the poor Mayans" is easy to say when you're an American and watch a propaganda video such as this. The country is lost in found leadership and a ethical constitution. There has undoubtedly been killing of Mayans as the graves and remains are factual. So what I am trying to say is, there is more than meets the eye. There is corruption in the government, rebellion among the natives towards the Europeans descendants, and more investigation needed.

I thinks its amazing to uncover history of a country. They shouldn't be ashamed of their past ancestors. It's sad how these politicians get away with murder.

Corruption is nothing new in politics. Uncovering history such as this in Guatemala was def interesting.

Interesting to see the history from this perspective.

I understand that the former Guatemalan President's daughter is trying protect her father, but it was hard to listen to her deny stuff like forensic evidence. Hopefully the ones responsible for this are brought to justice one day.

This video was truly sickening to believe that the Guatemalan government would kill and destroy villages of defenseless mayans that lived in the mountenous area in the jungle. I hope the president is found guilty and punished accordingly.

I really hope he is punished accordingly because fact is, no one is above the law.

He deserves to be punished. I agree Mickalia.

I just had a autopsy class last week. The bone examining part reminded me the smell of the bone...

How cruel. Guatemalan government is so corrupt. Sickens me to know they would put innocent people through that.

I understand the love of a daughter towards a father but its unbelievable how she's denying irrefutable forensic facts just because she's trying to protect her father, but as mention above it's also interesting to see a country where nobody is above the law and justice specially in nowadays judicial system where most of the time politicians find a way to bypass the law.

It's absolutely insane to know that over 200,000 people were killed in a time span of 36 years in Guatemala. Thankfully it wasn't more but still that was a lot of people killed. Hopefully Jose gets the correct sentencing because he had to have known that that was going on he just chose to ignore it, just as Castro and present day Venezuelan dictator Maduro. It's also ridiculous how his daughter is brainwashed to not see that a genocide occurred. But then again she was a privileged child and like most children wouldn't know or care. She should realize though that there was a genocide and she can't pretend as if though there wasn't because there is no other way to explain that large amount of deaths.

This kind of injustice gets me sick. It was so horrible when the daughter in a last effort to defend her father spoke so freely about how it was just a war. Why did her dad ever led that war?why were innocents like the elderly murdered? I was never taught this information in previous courses and I hope that leaders grow a conscience.
I really believe the fact that it was a genocide.
