I found this post very interesting. I saw Goya's paintings and my favorite painting was "Attack on a Military Camp". It is interesting how he showed the situation they were living at that time through his paintings. We now have a picture of the chaos they lived in.

The portrait "Third of May" by Goya shows a lot of detail and is realistic as to what went on during that time.

I think Goya's paintings are very original. If it weren't for the paintings from back in the day, it would have been harder to really imagine what things really looked like, to actually visualize it.

My favorite portrait from Goyas slide show was the portrait that he painted of himself painting. I found it so trippy. Ashbrook spoke about how his paintings were very negative and how he portrayed his life as falling apart. Ashbrook acknowledged how Goya was able to express things that has never been expressed before in his paintings. He was ahead of his time, I enjoyed this podcast.

I love Goya and all of his work. I think everything he created is so relevant to what people couldn't say at the time they were made.

I liked how Goya expressed himself through his art. He decides to paint of real events occurring during that time. Extremely relevant and accurate for the time period.

I'm thankful for people like Goya, due to his paintings we have some history and can actually see real events that were happening during that time.
