This is an ugly piece of American history that has been swept under the rug. Very few people know about this shameful event where the US Army, led by some of the most revered heroes of WWII, were turned on the veterans of WWI in the streets of Washington, DC.

It is very sad how not much has changed since then. This country keeps turning their backs on veterans.
This is so sad to know that this actually happens. But then again it doesn't surprise me because the US doesn't do as much as they could to give back to those who serve their country. These veterans fought for their country and they have the right to fight for the bonus. I have always been a firm believer in paying more money to those who actually contribute to our nation instead of athletes or entertainers. A man who has served years fighting for this country deserves a lot more than a man who can shoot more than 1 3 point shots in basketball. I have a lot of respect for veterans and I go visit a veterans hospital every Christmas to thank them of what they have done for serving me and this country. The country should give them 3 times the bonus they ask for and give them jobs and homes. Really interesting video and I am glad they marched for their bonus.
