Really interesting how human interactions have changed from the time of slavery to nowadays, even though there still exists slavery in other forms. Also I wanted to point out the fact that America consists of: north, central and south, not only the US as many people believe.
Another great video by John Green, its one of life's most interesting things, how it changes. Slavery isn't the same anymore, but there still is. Makes you wonder if there will ever be an end to it, completely.
Love the John Green videos - the slave trade was very prolific.
However I did some independent research and found that in North America it was more profitable eventually to "breed" slaves as opposed to importing them from Africa. Thomas Jefferson went so far as to callously refer to the offspring as an "increase" in his slaves.

These videos are the absolute best! They are funny but teach you at the same time.
I really like these crash course videos, they're nice and short, but are chock full of information that's easy to grasp.
