Its seems a lot of people have taken AP Spanish... Her poem, "Hombres Necios que Acusais" was the coolest one of all the ones I read. My AP teacher was always quoting her poem... She was a woman with strong opinions.
I've never heard of her before, but she's a very interesting woman. A few things that stayed with m from this video were, first the big circular thing on her chest. I have never seen that before and I'm catholic, is it hanging from her neck? Also, everyone who wants to watch this video needs to understand Spanish, is there any way we can get the translation to english in writing to post along with the video? Maybe one of your students could do it for extra credit? (just a thought)

I read her poem "Hombres necios que acusáis a la mujer" in my Spnaish Literature class. She was a smart and strong woman!
I agreed with the previous comment, I have heard of her before in my AP Spanish class too when I was in high school. I really loved her poem
woman power!!!!
I've read her poem as well and to my surprise enjoyed it. I don't often like poetry.
My spanish AP teacher never talked about any of the poems, seems a lot of people did come across the poems in high school

She should be mentioned at least once in history classes, I am surprised she isnt.
