Going back to chapter one, and by exploring the Prezi I found interesting that metal working first began in Latin America by the Peruvians during 1,500BCE. Most of their work was shaped into works of art rather than weaponry. The Moche civilization developed some of the finest and most detailed pottery ever known during their time. In addition, it is unbelievable to learn that they were excellent engineers even though they lacked a writing system. We can only imagine how theoretical concepts were taught and passed down to upcoming generations. Without a doubt a complex task to accomplish without means of written communication.
