La República de Cuba has always proven to be a very difficult statistic to handle. However, regrettably its government has not only hurt some egos and out of place and out reach planning along the way, but also ,materialistically speaking, the lifestyles of a few Cuban generations. Nonetheless, is pretty sad to witness the rhetoric of ignorance and discourse of the bruised feelings. No one should ever assert fundamentalist truth of what has not been lived, felt on your own skin. It hurts me to be a silent observer of the decay of this brilliantly and strongly guided America. The one from el Río Grande to la Patagonia, the land of Martí, Bolivar, San Martín, el Ché among other giants of our history. My advice, listen to Calle 13 or read Galeano's work. This way you'll see the "Open veins of Latin America" bleed.

Galeano's work is brutal but honest.

I would like to touch up two topics mentioned in this article. First, I would like to say that I am happy that Latin America is taking a step towards real democracy, despite the years of destruction previous governments have left. I could only hope that other countries and its people seek to find change. As per the U.S. embargo on Cuba, every time I read about it, I start to wonder if it hurts the regime as much as it hurts the people. I feel that the embargo has negatively effected the people by having access denied to technology, affordable foods and even medicine, which essentially has made them even more dependent on the oppressive regime.
