After watching the video, it looks as if the Americans were taking advantage of the Mexicans because of their lack strong government and economy and a lot less of Manifest Destiny. The United States knew that their military could withstand the ones of Mexico and invaded the country, knowing that it would retaliate, which would ultimately give them a reason to use force and take the land with justification. Clearly, they were upset that Mexico refused to sell them the land of Sante Fe.

Hello, I liked the video. As always, Manifest destiny was a form of justification for expanisionism.

you constantly make me think about the Quote, "those who study history are condemned to watch it repeat it's self" or however it goes...
This just makes me think about our involvement in the middle east.

I like how they mentioned that the aftermath of the Mexican-American War--whether or not slavery was going to be allowed in those areas--played a part in the following Civil War. War just doesn't seem to stop...

Good video to watch in three minutes and get an understanding of the Mexican-American War.

Latin American history has never really been my strong point so I struggled a bit to understand what was going on in the Mexican-American War. I did, however, found it amazing that this person was able to fit an immense amount of information on the war in less than 3 minutes.
