Made me sick to read it because we are humans but we act so inhumane. Very insightful post prof.

I completely agree with Sofia, it is heartbreaking to know how humans can be so inhumane. I was very interested in this article, and I am glad to have read it. Really great post professor.

I think its sad, insane and mind blowing how they would strip these slaves of even their religion. A person's religion can be their world and to have that taken away is unfortunate. It strips you of your personality and what defines you.

It's sad to see how this world is sometimes. Religion should be freed.

Slavery in N. America was crazy - so crazy that sometimes Slave Masters owned their own kin!

This was the case with George Washington who owned his wife's illegitimate half sister Ann Dandridge. Crazy stuff.

I liked how the writer compared the winter with slavery, to make it more relatable to the readers. It is truly sad how slave became based solely on race.
