Hi professor, I wanted you to know that I actually enjoy video like these, no matter how longer they are. This documentary really help me understand just what exactly happen between Mexico and America in the Mexican and American war. Originally I really didn't have any real idea or opinion about what the Mexican and American war even was. This video helped me understand and take an interest in this particular war that no one really talks about any more. Thank professor, it helped me out a lot.
Very interesting video, especially because it makes me analyze the situations from the U.S. perspective.
In my opinion, thanks to this war, The United States could expand their territory. Nowadays, we can notice many cities of The United States that have Mexican influence. For example, the State of Texas and California.

Honestly, if it was not for this video, I would not know anything about the Mexican and American War. This was a well worth it video to watch despite the length.
This certainly was a lengthy video and although I was not able to watch all of it I found it very interesting how they presented the viewer with facts. At times I feel like the Mexican American War is slightly lost in history because it is not as widely known as the Cold War for example.

Ahh, your everyday American. It's so refreshing! It's our right to take what we want from whom ever. Such an attitude us still relevant if not pervasive today. How quaint...
Although the video was lengthy, the facts about the Mexican American war was intriguing. I had no idea that James Polk was the president who encouraged the "Manifest Destiny", claiming that it was their (the U.S.) divine right to expand to western territories. Also, I liked that this video wasn't too biased and that it presented both sides of the story.
I had not known anything about this war at all. This was an eye opening experience for me. I learned more about the Mexican and American war just by watching this video. Thanks professor.
These videos are great, so informative! I think the documentaries showed in TV programs such as the History Channel are a great way to educate people on different types of cultures and history. Because of this video, my knowledge about the Mexican and American War has expanded a great deal.
I enjoyed this video more than I thought I would mostly because it is a piece of history that interested me. I learned that gold was actually discovered in California, and the worth of Rio Grande. I Never knew land was so precious.
Hi professor, Thanks for sharing this informative video. I did not know anything about the war between the U.S. and Mexico which was a very important war. Unfortunately, Mexico lost one third of its territory.
Very interesting. I don't think I've really seen a documentary that has both sides providing input. I enjoyed hearing what everyone had to say and then decide how I felt based on ALL the facts given.

I find the US to be hypocritical in a sense. Although it stands for freedom, the US did not become the great nation it is today without spilling innocent blood, and usurping land that didn't belong to them.
USA stole territory from Mexico and now they complain when Mexicans migrate to the lands that belonged to them.

This video was very lengthy, but it definitely helped me understand the Mexican and American War much better. I only new some minor details before watching this.
It seems like half of the U.S was a part of the Mexican Empire... It wasn't always English First!
This documentary gave me a more clear understanding on the war and why it was fought to begin with. I learned that U.S. President James Polk declared war on Mexico after eleven U.S. soldiers were killed near Rio Grand the area that the United States considered it's boundary line. Mexico however, argued that their boundary line was the Nueces river. I also liked the intro narration by Mexican American Boxer Oscar De La Hoya.
